Born in New York and raised in Ohio, Dr. Kalan knew since high school that he wanted to be a pediatrician. After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1996, he continued on at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine for his medical degree in 2000. He then completed his pediatric internship and residency in 2003 at the University of Texas Southwestern, Dallas. He is board-certified in pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Besides general pediatrics, Dr. Kalan enjoys practicing sports medicine (including concussion management) and treating children with ADHD and other school-related issues.
He was a solo practitioner in Wylie, Texas for one year before moving to Denver, Colorado to join a pediatric practice in 2004. His four years there gave him the opportunity to become an expert and national speaker in the field of ADHD and ADD. Dr Kalan follows the progression of ADHD from pre-school into adulthood with special emphasis on providing individualized treatment for each patient. This may include behavior management techniques, coaching in organizational skills, recognizing unique learning styles, and medication.
Dr Kalan is excited to be joining Crown Point Pediatrics as a full partner with Dr Roos. His goal is to continue the growth of Crown Point Pediatrics as it moves to Parker in the fall of 2008 and to help develop the best ADHD clinic in Colorado. "My goal is to help children learn the way they learn best through medical treatment and developing the organizational and study skills they will need to be successful in life." He regularly attends ADHD and sports medicine conferences to keep current with advances in those areas.

On a Personal Note
"I believe that each child is uniquely and wonderfully made by God and is precious in His sight. Therefore, my desire is to help each child reach his or her full potential in life spiritually, physically, and emotionally. During my free time, I continue to minister to children as a youth leader and Sunday school teacher at my church. I have taught for the past twenty years and have seen children mature into the strong leaders of today. I also enjoy skiing and researching the histories of antique automobiles. My goal in life is to glorify God and lead by example through my interactions with children, parents, and the community."
Jason Kalan, M.D.
